2023 Scientific Highlights

 

Botulinum Toxin Workshop

Friday, March 17, 13:00 - 17:00

Get a glimpse at the science and art of botulinum toxin injection for various movement disorders. Masters in the field will demonstrate live injection in wide array of patients with the help of surface marking as well as ultrasound and EMG guidance. New injectors will learn the foundational skills, and seasoned injectors can fine-tune their techniques.

Deep Brain Stimulation Workshop

Friday, March 17, 13:00 - 16:00

View a live demonstration of the equipment used in DBS programming and target localization, including updates on the most recent and novel techniques. This session will provide a roadmap for standard initial and follow-up programming, as well as train you to troubleshoot.

2023 Award Lectureships

Sunday, March 19, 10:30 - 12:00 (Plenary Session 2104)

Two esteemed awardees at the forefront of movement disorders will present on the topics that have most interested them throughout their storied careers. The 2023 awardees are Pramod Pal, Bangalore, (receiving the Philip Thompson Lecture Award) Roongroj Bhidayasiri, Bangkok, (receiving the Yoshikuni Mizuno Lecture Award).

Plenary Sessions 

An overview of the latest research findings relating to topics of broad interest in Movement Disorders. 

Parallel Sessions 

In-depth summaries of new clinical and research findings, treatment options, and future strategies.

Poster Sessions

Authors will be present during scheduled poster sessions to explain their work and answer questions.

Guided Poster Tours

Guided Poster Tours give delegates an opportunity to hear discussion on a select group of high-scoring abstracts dealing with defined topics.

Sponsored Symposia  

Company-based information sessions providing delegates with educational opportunities to learn the latest in therapeutics and / or diagnostics.

Workshops

Provide practical illustrations of clinical or scientific techniques relevant to the field of Movement Disorders through live examples and equipment demonstrations.

In conjunction with the AOPMC, the Movement Disorders Society of India’s 7th annual MDSICON will be the preceding day, Thursday, March 16, at the same location.

You can register for either or both events on the AOPMC registration form. There is no additional fee for AOPMC attendees to join MDSICON.
